Iran holds the 4th largest proven crude oil reserves and 2nd largest natural gas reserves in the World and the revenues from oil exports has an impact on Iran’s yearly budget and today Iran is concentrating on dimisnishing the effect of oil price fluctuations on its budget.Iran now is an important trade partner of Russia in the Middle East. As the Russian export considerably exceeds import from Iran. For the last two years the aproximated average turnover between the two countries amounts to 800 million US dollars, with 95% of Russian export. Iranian officials expecting that the high-profile oil well as gas show would appeal investment for further development of the giant offshore South Pars gas field, that is shared with Qatar, and the hydrocarbon fields located in West Karoun region in southwestern Iran.
